Empowering Community Initiatives Through Funding and Volunteer Support

Grant Program

Learn about our Grant Program

Welcome to the Addium-METER Foundation Grant Program page. While our 2024 grant cycle is taking a brief hiatus, we remain committed to our mission of leveraging charitable assets to combat poverty, promote education, and enhance the quality of life within our communities. This page outlines our grant program, including its objectives, general timeline, and application essentials.

Grant Cycle Overview

Traditionally, our grant cycle begins in the spring, providing nonprofit organizations the opportunity to apply for funding and volunteer support. The application period is open for 3-4 weeks, after which submissions are carefully reviewed by our board. We strive to notify grantees of their awards within approximately 6 weeks from the close of the application period.

Funding and Volunteer Support

The Addium-METER Foundation offers grants typically ranging from $5,000 to $10,000, accompanied by 80 to 400 volunteer hours. We are also open to considering requests for larger or smaller amounts, depending on the scope and impact of the proposed project.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for a grant, applicants must:

  1. Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
  2. Propose a project that aligns with the mission of the Addium-METER Foundation.
  3. Seek both financial support and volunteer assistance for their initiative.

Reporting Requirements

Grantees are expected to provide quarterly progress reports for long-term projects or a final summary of achievements for shorter initiatives. This accountability ensures that funds and volunteer efforts yield meaningful outcomes.

Application Essentials

While a detailed application guide is provided to applicants, here are the key components required:

  • Organization and contact information.
  • Board Members and Date of Incorporation.
  • A clear articulation of the organization’s vision/mission.
  • A detailed proposal description, including alignment with our mission, project goals, measurable outcomes, and a project timeline.
  • Specific funding and volunteer hour requests, with a breakdown of how these resources will be utilized.

Proposals should be concise, no more than 2-3 pages, and emailed directly to us. Selected applicants may also be invited to present their project to the Foundation board.

Next grant cycle is anticipated to be in Spring 2025. (March - April)

Looking Ahead

While we pause our grant cycle for 2024, we encourage nonprofit organizations to begin preparing for the next opportunity in the spring of 2025. This pause is a strategic step to enhance our grant program and maximize our collective impact in the communities we serve.
